Introduction
Welcome to my website! My name is Alessandro Bruno, and I am a recent graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University class of 2023. During my academic career, I developed a strong understanding of industrial processes, project management, and business practices. I am now eager to apply my knowledge and skills to help businesses improve their efficiency, productivity, and profitability. With my experience in problem solving and my passion for engineering, I look forward to making an impact in the industry.
I have created this portfolio to showcase who I am and what I have done over the years as a student. I hope you enjoy what I am able to present and reach out if there is anything you would like to discuss.
About Me!
In March of 2000, I was born in London England. When I was two years old, my parents and I moved to Clifton Park, NY, where I have remained ever since. As a young student, I attended Shenedehowa Central School District as a member of the class of 2018. During my time in high school, I always knew engineering was a path I wanted to pursue, but I did not know where it would lead me. In 2016 I went to a two week engineering leadership forum at Northwestern University. Business and engineering were two areas I always felt passionate about, and after spending time learning about Industrial Engineering at Northwestern, I knew it was the career I wanted to pursue that fit my ambitions. The idea of creating efficiency while eliminating waste fit right into my personality, and it was not difficult to envision myself transitioning into a career that was surrounded by these ideas.
Outside of my studies, I have a wide variety of interest. I grew up playing soccer at both the school and club level. Being relatively small for my age, it was difficult to earn a spot on a team, but I was set on nothing short of being an active member. My determination payed off as I was a key member my senior year, helping my team reach the top four in New York State.
While soccer is my favorite sport, I enjoy watching and participating in almost every other sport, especially when Boston teams are involved. Spending time outside or being active is important to me, and sports tends to be my go to move. Since I was three years old, I have been skiing throughout the country, but mainly around Lake Placid, NY. I recently just returned from a trip to Wyoming and Montana, which was better than I could have ever asked for.
Travelling is another past time that I love to do given the opportunity. Travelling to me does not just mean going to a new country, but also exploring new places, even if it is a local town, thirty minutes from where you live. My dad is from Italy, which allowed me to be a dual-citizen to Italy and the United States. Having family in Italy, I have been lucky to visit them regularly throughout my life time. Travelling to Italy at such a young age, both with my family and independently, I quickly grew comfortable visiting new places and learning about different cultures and lifestyles. I have been fortunate enough to make it to many countries around the world at my young age ranging from North and South America, Europe, and across the United States. I hope to continue growing my list throughout my life time as it gives me great joy understanding how different the world works across the globe.
Other notable interest include investing, 3D printing, photography, volunteering, cooking, sustainable energy systems, video games, and board games. If you would like to discuss any of these please let me know!
